DIY Network – “America’s Most Desperate Landscape”

DIY Network - Finished Fence

In June 2010, Harrison Fence had the pleasure of participating in the front yard makeover for the DIY (Do It Yourself) Network TV show, “America’s Most Desperate Landscape”. The homeowners who received the makeover won a contest on the NBC Today Show in cooperation with the DIY show Desperate Landscapes.

The project took place over a frantic two-day time frame and the transformation was amazing! The Harrison Fence crew and the Harrison family worked long hours to help create the amazing transformation – the kids even got into the act by moving dirt, planting flowers and shrubbery, and spreading mulch around the new plantings!

The finished fence was a “Deck Rail” style fence made of Western Red Cedar that provides the homeowners a nice open feel while creating delineation between their property and the sidewalk.DIY Network - Finished Fence

After the TV show wrapped up, the homeowners called Harrison Fence back to do more fencing – completely enclosing the front yard to create a safe, secure play space for their children.

Harrison Fence donated all labor and most of the materials to this fun project!
